Why Choose Thrive?

We know you have many choices in finding a therapy provider and believe that the most important thing in finding a therapist is that you feel comfortable and that it is a good fit between us. At Thrive, we approach therapy and all of our professional relationships in a specific way in line with the values and ideas described below.

Empowering

At Thrive, we are all collaborative in nature. We want to empower you to make the changes you feel are necessary in your life. We believe that you will be able to access your own innate healing tendencies through our healing relationship. The change always comes from you and as such, is something that lasts long after treatment.

Client-Centered and Collaborative

At Thrive, we are here for you. That's it!  We simply view ourselves as people who help facilitate your goals and your best interests. This means we believe in your ability to choose the path that works best for you and will be responsible for providing you with the options and support to take the necessary steps towards growth.

Respect

At Thrive, we respect each other and we respect our clients. All of our work and relationships are built on mutual respect and acknowledgement that each one of us brings something important and unique to our work. This includes you!  With respect in mind, we will always work hard to ensure you feel your perspective on your own situation is heard and understood during your sessions.

Affirming

At Thrive, we provide an affirming space for our clients and their experiences in the world. We believe in social justice and that all human rights matter. As such, we avoid using a framework in therapy that enhances systemic injustices or that does not recognize the systemic impact of the systems of racism, homophobia, ableism, misogyny, classism, and other systems that maintain power in our world. In this way, we strive to make our office safe for all of our clients, particularly when the world has not been safe.

Warm, Authentic, Genuine

At Thrive, we strive to have an authentic and genuine connection with you and your family. We believe that change comes from relationships where we can access our deepest vulnerabilities and fears.

Connected

While meeting with a Thrive therapist, our goal is to ensure you do not feel alone in your struggles. We will always go a step beyond to support you and meet your needs in an open and ethical way.

Brave

Most of all, at Thrive we are brave. We seek to redefine the word brave as people often associate bravery with being fearless. Being brave is actually the complete opposite of being fearless! We at Thrive view being brave as facing your fears, your own darkness, and inner conflicts and we seek to help you access your bravery with us, both in session and outside of session.
